I'm sitting at a trendy corner Cafe in Prenzlauer Berg called Cafe Liebling. Nice Cafe, nice space and interior. The two waitresses behind the counter are stacking the coffee cups & saucers with maximum noise. I see this quite often in Cafes here in Berlin - the folks running a Cafe actually making the most noise. Must be some territorial thing or old ingrained attitudes. I know, Germans find servicing just a tad demeaning. I like Cafes where they don't play any music. Silence has gone out of fashion.
